Pete Yorn is bringing his early 2000s sound back to live stages to mark a quarter-century milestone. The 52-year-old musician announced a solo acoustic tour on TikTok and other social media platforms on Sunday. The tour celebrates the 25th anniversary of his debut album, Musicforthemorningafter, which released in March 2001. The record was a 14-track collection of rock, pop, and folk songs that became a staple in car stereos and disc changers. Yorn described the album as a no-filler outing that resonated with late Gen X listeners. He noted the music helped people describe their lives before the Great Recession. To mark the occasion, Yorn issued a deluxe digital re-release of the album. This new edition includes live versions of songs recorded at Jack White’s Third Man Records in Nashville. Fans can catch the tour in Tampa Bay later this month. Yorn is set to play Bayboro Brewing in St. Petersburg on Saturday, November 14 at 7 p.m. Tickets for that specific performance are priced at $36.17. The venue is currently booking a supporting act alongside Yorn, though the source lists SunSquabi, Phyphr, and Side Trakd for the date. Other notable acts scheduled for the region include Donna The Buffalo in Clearwater on January 3. The Doobie Brothers will perform at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater on January 11. Daughtry returns for a 20 Years Unplugged show at the same venue on January 28. Greta Van Fleet is scheduled to headline Benchmark International Arena in Tampa on February 5. Roger Waters will present LEGACY: A Pink Floyd Show at BayCare Sound in Clearwater on February 17. Paul Anka rounds out the early 2027 lineup with a show at Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg on March 19.
