Residents in North Escambia face a sharp shift in weather patterns as the dry, sunny stretch of Thursday and Friday ends. The current forecast shows highs near 80 degrees Fahrenheit, but a moisture system is set to push through by Saturday afternoon. This change brings scattered showers, potential thunderstorms, and a noticeable drop in temperature.
The transition begins Saturday after 1 p.m. when the chance of rain rises to 40 percent. Conditions worsen by Saturday night, with a 60 percent probability of precipitation and showers likely to persist. The system remains active through Sunday, keeping the precipitation chance at 60 percent and temperatures down to a high of 75 degrees. Winds will shift to the east, reaching 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph, adding to the unsettled feel of the weekend.
Drier conditions return by Monday, with skies mostly sunny and highs near 78 degrees. The temperature holds steady at 79 degrees on Tuesday, though a slight 20 percent chance of showers appears. By Wednesday, the chance of rain climbs to 50 percent, marking the start of another period of increased moisture. The low temperatures for the coming days range from 60 to 65 degrees, offering a cooler break from the recent heat.
The forecast details a consistent shift in wind direction. Northeast winds of 5 to 10 mph dominate Thursday and Friday. These shift to easterly winds for the weekend, peaking in strength on Sunday. By Sunday night, the winds revert to a northeast direction around 10 mph. This pattern supports the movement of the air masses that drive the temperature changes described in the daily outlook.
