The Dallas Cowboys lost their eighth game of the season in overtime on Sunday, falling 33-30 to the Arizona Cardinals at AT&T Stadium.

The defeat ended a 69-game streak in which Dallas won home contests when leading by at least 14 points in the fourth quarter. The team now holds a 0-5 record in its all-time history against Arizona at its own venue. This marks the Cowboys' third loss in their last four weeks.

The game featured a dramatic late sequence that kept Dallas in the contest. Arizona scored a touchdown in the final minutes of regulation, but a missed extra point allowed the Cowboys to force overtime. Without that miss, Dallas would have likely lost the game in regulation.

The Cardinals mounted their comeback using backup quarterback Gardner Minshew, who replaced starter Jacoby Brissett. Minshew, supported by running back Tyler Allgeier, drove the offense to a successful finish. This victory came against a team that may finish the season in last place in the NFC West, a division the Cowboys still have a chance to win.

Former Cowboys quarterback Ben DiNucci offered a blunt assessment of the performance on CBS Sports HQ. He described the result as absolutely embarrassing and stated that the team currently stinks. DiNucci noted that the roster possesses talent on both sides of the ball, yet the organization continues to produce letdowns week after week.

"I'm not sure what needs to change," DiNucci said. "But at some point, the same old, same old in Dallas for the Cowboys, it's not cutting it. Somebody needs to look themselves in the mirror." He argued that the issue comes down to effort, claiming that fans can tell run plays from pass plays based on the offensive output.

Team owner Jerry Jones indicated that firing head coach Brian Schottenheimer mid-season is not on the table. DiNucci suggested that veteran leaders such as Dak Prescott, Quinnen Williams, and CeeDee Lamb must take control of the locker room culture. He pointed to the unique pressures of being a Cowboys player, including facility tours and outside noise, as factors that hinder players' ability to compartmentalize.

The Cowboys face the Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans, and Philadelphia Eagles in three of their next four games. A week off will not arrive until the Week 14 bye.
