St. Petersburg Trio Debut New Fuzz-Heavy Track on Local Airwaves

Listeners tuning into WMNF in the Tampa Bay area gained access to a new local release on October 27. The station selected 'Moon Flower Love' by Razor and the Boogeymen as its Song of the Day for that date. The track serves as the first single from the St. Petersburg-based power trio. A listener suggested the song for the daily feature.

The band combines the fast, abrasive elements of punk rock with the low-end weight of stoner metal and doom. The track features thick basslines and high-guitar distortion. The rhythm section maintains a steady pace throughout the recording. The band members are Razor Edwards on bass and vocals, Seth Anthony on guitar and vocals, and Alex Bond on drums.

'Moon Flower Love' hit the market on September 25, 2026. The group formed in 2018 in the Pinellas-Hillsborough county region. They started as a four-piece garage act and later reduced their lineup to three members. The band built a local following by playing warehouse shows, DIY spaces, and bars in St. Petersburg and Tampa.

The trio has performed alongside touring artists and headlined local events. Their past venues include The Potion Portal and The Floridian in the Bay area. They also play various independent DIY spaces. The band is known for high-energy performances in these underground circuits.

Razor and the Boogeymen operate as a power trio. This format allows for a dense sonic texture despite the reduced member count. The group maintains a presence in the regional underground music scene. Their recent work continues this trajectory of blending punk and doom styles.
