The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-21 on Monday night at Lincoln Financial Field, ending a two-game losing streak. The victory improves Dallas's record to 3-4 and keeps them within striking distance of the New York Giants, who are currently 4-2-1 in the NFC East.

Quarterback Dak Prescott threw three touchdown passes in the win. He connected with CeeDee Lamb twice and George Pickens once for scoring plays. This marks the sixth time in his career that Prescott has thrown at least three touchdowns against the Eagles.

The Cowboys' offense had struggled in the two games prior to this contest, scoring a combined 29 points. Prescott threw four interceptions in those losses. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer faced criticism during the week, including a radio appearance where he described himself as an elite playcaller despite the team's 9-13-1 record over the last three seasons.

Despite the recent pressure, Schottenheimer remained composed in his postgame interview. He described the team's performance as simply good play rather than a desperate effort. When asked about his demeanor, he stated that he is great and excited for the players.

Prescott noted that he observed a hungry and angry version of Schottenheimer during the week. The quarterback said the coaching staff is aware of the external doubts regarding their play calling. He emphasized that the players have his back and that the focus now is on executing on Sundays.

The Cowboys achieved a rare statistical milestone on Monday night. For the first time since 1983, Dallas recorded both over 200 rushing yards and over 200 passing yards in a game against the Eagles. Running back Javonte Williams led the ground attack with a career-high 155 yards on 25 carries.

Williams sealed the game with a two-yard rushing touchdown with 2 minutes and 21 seconds remaining. The Eagles scored on their opening drive and the start of the second half, but the Cowboys defense limited them the rest of the way. DeMarvion Overshown picked off one pass, while Quinnen Williams and Donovan Ezeiruaku combined for two sacks of Tanner McKee.

Javonte Williams acknowledged that the team did not play a perfect game. He stated that the squad must learn from the mistakes but that securing the win was an amazing feeling.

The victory came 22 days after Dallas's last win against the Houston Texans on Oct. 4. The Cowboys have not won consecutive games since a three-game streak in Weeks 11-13 of last season. They will host the 2-5 Arizona Cardinals next at AT&T Stadium.

According to ESPN Analytics, the Cowboys now have a 57 percent chance of winning the NFC East division. Schottenheimer said the win puts the team back into the hunt for the division title.
