Florida voters face a final day of campaigning before they head to the polls.

Republican nominee Byron Donalds and Democrat David Jolly are making their last public appearances on Monday. They are traveling across the state to rally supporters in the hours before Election Day.

Donalds began his day in Tarpon Springs. He launched a bus tour he called "Defending the Florida Dream." By noon, he had moved to Polk County. He stood with Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd and U.S. Senate candidate Ashley Moody. Donalds will finish his stops in Sarasota in the afternoon.

Jolly and his running mate, Gwen Graham, are concluding their "Believe in Better" tour. They visited Haines City in Polk County on Monday morning. The pair then traveled east to Brevard County. They have rallies scheduled for Palm Beach and Broward counties on Monday night.

Donalds told supporters over the weekend that he expected a high turnout. "We know that the voters of Florida are going to show up to polls in a major way on Election Day, and we are going to win the race, and I'm going to be your next governor," he said.

Jolly urged his base in South Florida on Sunday to get involved. "Our kids, our grandkids are looking at us when the nation is breaking.. they are one day going to say, ‘Mom, Dad.. when the nation was breaking, what are you doing about it?’" he said.

Donalds outlined his plan to address costs and infrastructure. He said the state needs to lower construction and insurance costs. "We build the roads that we need. We protect the aquifers that are precious. We make sure our ag lands are still in production," he said.

Jolly focused on values during a Sunday event in Miami. He argued that policy must stem from core beliefs. "The first value is very simple, that the economy should work for everybody. The economy should work for everyone," he said.

Voters who did not vote early must cast ballots in person on Tuesday. Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. local time. Each voter must show a valid form of photo and signature identification to check in.

The election will decide the next governor of Florida. Both nominees are using their final day to frame the issues for the Tuesday vote.
