Kandice Gunter, a 30-year-old mother of two, remains missing in Wyoming after her cellphone signal stopped near the Natrona County line on Friday. The Casper Police Department launched a search after Gunter failed to pick up her children, ages 9 and 6, from the Boys & Girls Club on Wednesday.

Gunter moved from Nevada to Casper about a month ago to be closer to her children and help their father with care. She was last seen in person on the morning of October 29. Her sister, Kayla Gunter, reported her missing later that evening after Kandice did not show up to collect the kids.

Kayla Gunter stated that the absence was unusual for their sister. "That's why I started freaking out," Kayla said. "It's totally out of character for her not to show up to get her kids." The sisters typically spoke by phone at least three times daily. Their last conversation occurred at 10:41 a.m. local time on Wednesday. Kayla noted that the call gave no indication of trouble.

Police said Gunter was traveling in a gray 2016 GMC Canyon pickup with a Wyoming temporary registration. Her phone pinged near Gillette around noon on Wednesday. The last known location of the device was along Highway 387, near the Natrona County line, at approximately 12:30 p.m. MT on Friday. Gunter has not answered her phone since Wednesday morning.

In the days before she disappeared, Gunter posted on social media. One recent post read, "Success for me, happens in silence." In June, she wrote about focusing on a better version of herself. Kayla Gunter said her sister had not indicated any plans to leave or cut off contact before vanishing.

Gunter is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 185 pounds. She has black hair, blue eyes, and a butterfly tattoo on her neck. The family is asking for help in locating her. A Facebook user named TK Kentopp posted early Saturday morning, asking anyone who has seen her to reach out.

The Casper Police Department is asking the public to call 307-235-8278 with any information about Gunter or her vehicle. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers of Central Wyoming at 307-577-8477 or at crimestopperscasper.org.
